Kurt is President/CEO and founder of Baseline, Inc., a full service commercial real estate brokerage, investment and development company. Since 1979, Kurt has built a foundation of industry knowledge and experience while serving in a variety of marketing, management and ownership positions at the F.C. Tucker Company, Inc. (now Cushman & Wakefield), Duke Realty Investments and Citimark Development Company. He has served as the Indiana CCIM Chapter President representing professionals in his industry. This breadth of experience gives Kurt one of the most comprehensive backgrounds in the commercial real estate field. His transaction resume includes tenant representation, acquisitions and dispositions for a large healthcare network, privately held entities as well as some of the world’s largest corporations and investment funds. Leasing, selling, exchanging and developing commercial land, office, retail, industrial, single and multi-tenant projects and the structuring of 1031 tax deferred exchanges and NNN investments are areas of emphasis and expertise. His personal investment experience includes self-storage, multifamily, industrial, office, retail and land.
Kurt graduated from Purdue University in 1977, was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Upon graduation he served for two years on the executive staff of the organization. He and his family have lived on Geist Lake in the Fishers, Indiana area for over thirty-six years. Kurt and his wife Cathy have a daughter Marie, who is a speech pathologist in Denver with undergrad and graduate degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder. Their son Matt, will graduate in May 2023 with a degree in finance and real estate from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Upon graduation, he will be a financial analyst for Birge & Held, a multifamily investment and development company based in Indianapolis. They are members of the Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church. Kurt is a private pilot, enjoys motorcycling, boating, trips to the family house on Lake Michigan and spending time with his family.
Kurt has been a member of the Fishers Chamber of Commerce since 1996, served on the Board of Directors and is the past Chairman of the Board. He served on the Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation Board Advisory Council as Chairman. He also served as a member of the Fishers Redevelopment Commission. Kurt is on the Community Health Network Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the Allocations Committee. He has been a servant leader for a variety of Fishers and Indianapolis area charitable organizations.
